Answer: Did you bleed the tank before refilling? This is important because if there are air pockets in the tank, the lighter will not function properly. To bleed the tank, use a small tool or the tip of a pencil to press on the fuel valve. Keep pressing until all butane and air have been released (when there is no more hissing noise). Refill the tank and try igniting again. -

When full, how long will the fuel last with normal use (at least one cigar a day in a windy location)?
