- This speaker is equipped with a state-of-the-art drive unit at an affordable price point
- The D300 series woofers and mid-range feature Kevlar cones used in Wharfedales latest model DIAMOND11C series and a hybrid construction with high-tech foam polyether edges. These units have improved sound quality and have a tremendous effect on aging damage compared to rubber edges used in many speaker units. The woofer/mid-range unit features a long voice coil and large neodymium magnets that provide smooth and complete control of the low-pass unit strokes, giving you the power to improve response. By adopting a specially shaped pole piece with copper cap, it controls medium and low magnetic fluxes, achieving distortion and a high S/N ratio
- The tweeter unit was developed for the DIAMOND 11 series WFR? Wide Frequency Response Equipped with a soft dome that has been fine-tuned for the DIAMOND 300 series. The tweeter unit also uses a specially shaped copper-plated pole piece with a lower resonance frequency to achieve crisp, precise high-frequency details
- Wharfedale believes that cabinet structure is the biggest factor that decides the good and bad speakers The cabinet is always an element of sound and the sound of the unit must be suppressed to the sound produced by the cabinet itself. The D300 series cabinets were tested repeatedly by combining dozens of different density timber to reduce resonance output by over 25dB from driver output
- Bass emitted from the back of the driver is emitted downward from the bass reflector. The bass reflex port equipped with the D300 series has been re-adjusted for the D300 series slot-dispersion port system P-EQ Pressure Equalization used in the DIAMOND 11 series. Both ends of the port are semi-parabolic for increased energy transfer and increased air volume and low frequency output performance
