iHome iSB02 Battery Powered WI-FI Dual Leak Sensor, White

The iHome iSB02 Battery Powered Wi-Fi Dual Leak Sensor is a product that has attracted mixed reviews from customers, primarily due to its functionality and the accompanying app. Many users appreciate its price point and straightforward design, which makes it easy to set up and requires little maintenance thanks to its AA battery operation. Several users have reported the device successfully alerting them to water leaks, highlighting its potential to save costly damage from water infiltration, particularly when they are away from home. One customer even noted how the sensor woke them up in time to address an issue that the sump pump couldn't handle. However, significant concerns have also been raised regarding its connectivity and the user experience with the mobile app. Users frequently encountered issues while trying to connect the sensor to their Wi-Fi networks, particularly with networks using special characters in their passwords. The lack of clear guidance in the manual added to the frustration here. Furthermore, the app's performance was heavily criticized; it has been described as unreliable when it comes to sending notifications. Users reported instances where alerts weren't received on their phones, and even when notifications worked, they lacked audible alerts or proper indication, risking the chance of missing important warnings. Despite some positive experiences regarding the effectiveness of the device, substantial software and hardware issues have overshadowed its strengths. A number of customers have decided to return the product, citing its unreliability and the ineffectiveness of the app as major drawbacks. **
