Nutritionist's Take
The 21st Century C 1000 mg Prolonged Release Tablets provide a significant dose of vitamin C, which is known for its antioxidant properties and potential to support immune function. The prolonged release formula may be beneficial for maintaining more stable blood levels of vitamin C throughout the day. However, some nutritionists caution against excessive vitamin C intake, as high doses can lead to gastrointestinal discomfort or diarrhea in certain individuals. The ingredient quality appears typical for mass-market supplements, so consumers should consider sourcing from reputable brands. This product can be suitable for most dietary needs, but it’s essential for individuals with specific health conditions or those on certain medications to consult a healthcare professional before starting any supplementation. Overall, while this product offers nutritional benefits, moderation and personal health considerations should guide its use.
