**** The Evoluent vertical mouse has garnered a noteworthy reputation among users, particularly for its ergonomic design that offers relief from wrist and arm pains associated with prolonged mouse usage. Many customers have transitioned to this mouse after dealing with discomfort from standard designs, and they report significant improvements in their wrist health after making the switch. Users indicate that while there may be a learning curve when first adapting to the vertical orientation, the long-term benefits make the effort worthwhile. Equipped with six programmable buttons, the mouse enhances productivity, allowing users to customize their experience for efficient navigation through software and web browsing. The driver software provided by Evoluent simplifies the process of key assignment, allowing individuals to tailor the mouse functions to their needs. However, some users noted that specific buttons required remapping, especially when used on alternative operating systems like Linux. Despite its ergonomic advantages, some critiques were directed at aspects such as the scroll wheel's functionality, which has been described as too stiff and lacking a freewheel option, leading to discomfort during extended use. Also, while the build quality is generally praised, there are mentions of the price point being on the higher side compared to other options in the market. Overall, the Evoluent vertical mouse stands out as an excellent choice for those seeking to alleviate discomfort caused by conventional mouse designs, though it may not be the perfect fit for every user due to its price and certain functionality concerns. **
