SAFAVIEH Metro Collection Area Rug - 9' x 12', Natural & Ivory, Handmade Modern Wool, Ideal for High Traffic Areas in Living Room, Bedroom (MET995A)
The SAFAVIEH Metro Collection Area Rug is garnering a mixed reception among customers, primarily applauded for its aesthetic appeal and quality craftsmanship, but with notable concerns regarding comfort and residual odors. Many users expressed their delight upon seeing the rug in person, often reporting that it exceeded their expectations. Its soft wool surface and sturdy backing make it visually appealing and a suitable choice for high traffic areas. The design, featuring a combination of grey and ivory hues, has been praised for its elegance and ability to enhance living spaces, with some customers even mentioning a unique color effect that adds character to their decor. However, customer reports reveal a recurring theme regarding the rug's surface texture. Several users noted its roughness, which has inadvertently made the rug a favorite scratch pad for pets. Additionally, multiple reviews mention a steadfast odor, ranging from a musty smell to a more pungent, farm-like scent that has persisted beyond initial unwrapping. While some reviewers were unconcerned about the initial smell, others expressed significant disappointment, suggesting that it detracts from their overall experience. Despite its shortcomings, such as shedding fibers and attracting pet hair, customers still appreciate the overall quality and appearance of the product. It appears that those willing to overlook the comfort and smell issues are satisfied with their purchase. **
