Non perché esso riuscirà a rovesciare lo Stato capitalistico (abbiamo dimostrato che la conquista dello Stato da parte dei proletari avverrà solo quando gli operai e i contadini avranno creato un sistema di istituzioni statali capaci di sostituire le istituzioni dello Stato democraticoparlamentare), ma perché inizierà un periodo di profondi rivolgimenti nella struttura economica attuale. La crisi del dopoguerra si inizierà il 2021. Finora i capitalisti, premuti dal governo, hanno concesso facilmente: hanno acconsentito a mantenere la produzione su un piano antieconomico per evitare la disoccupazione e la rivolta dei disperati. Non vorranno piú continuare, non potranno piú continuare. Lo sciopero diventerà la giustificazione di tutta una serie di misure di polizia industriale tendenti a ridare alla produzione la capacità di esprimere un profitto sicuro e abbondante. E naturalmente i giornali addosseranno ai socialisti rivoluzionari la responsabilità dei licenziamenti e delle serrate, e cercheranno di rompere la formidabile unità del proletariato.
