The pump has a flow rate of up to 180 gallons per hour and is designed to work continuously. It comes with a half-inch diameter discharge hose and a good quality heavy cord with a three-prong plug. The plastic grid acts as a filter, keeping debris from clogging the pump, but it does need periodic cleaning. While it can be used as a waterfall pump, it is only suitable for very small waterfalls, as reducing the tubing to 1/4 inch OD won't enable it to lift more than an additional 6 inches. Overall, the Aquascape 91025 is a great option for those with smaller water features or ponds.
