WD 160GB EIDE Internal Hard Drive with 8MB Cache The WD 160GB EIDE Internal Hard Drive with 8MB Cache is a reliable option for those looking to upgrade or replace their existing hard drive. It is particularly useful for older devices that require an EIDE drive, which is becoming harder to find. One customer mentioned using this hard drive to resurrect a first-generation Apple TV. They highlighted the tight space Constraints and lack of documentation as challenges they faced, but they were ultimately able to find a drive that worked and fit perfectly. This customer also praised the fact that this drive is the same model as the factory-installed one. Another reviewer mentioned that they have been using this hard drive as their C drive for running Windows. While it may not offer as much storage as more modern drives, it still functions well and meets their needs. However, there were some negative experiences reported by customers. One buyer mentioned receiving a Seagate 80GB drive instead of the WD 160GB that was listed. This suggests a mistake in the product shipment or description. Another customer noted that the item they received was not brand new, as the seller claimed. They received a hard drive that was partitioned with an older version of Windows, indicating that it may have been refurbished. Additionally, this customer pointed out that the listing falsely advertised a bunch of accessories that did not come with the product. It has been successfully used to revive older devices and works well as a C drive for running Windows. However, there have been some discrepancies in the product received, with customers receiving incorrect or potentially refurbished items.
