Arturia KeyLab 61 Essential Bundle, mk3 MIDI Controller (White + Pedal)
**** The Arturia Keylab Essential has garnered a predominantly positive reception from its users, particularly for its powerful sound capabilities and user-friendly setup. Many customers express their delight over the extensive library of sounds provided through the Arturia Analog Lab V, boasting over 3000 sounds that inspire creativity and musical exploration. Users appreciate the intuitive nature of the controller, making it easy to integrate into their music production workflows. The build quality is also praised, with comfortable and tactile buttons, lights, and navigation features enhancing the usability of the product. However, the keyboard does have its quirks. While the key feel is noted to be standard for its price range, there are concerns regarding the sustain pedal, which some users have found to be cumbersome due to its excessive vertical travel. This characteristic can make it impractical for live performances, though it adequately serves its purpose for studio work. Additionally, while the controller performs well for out-of-the-box Ableton compatibility, some users have struggled with customizing mappings for faders and knobs, suggesting that the process may not be as user-friendly as expected. Another point of contention includes the limited trial of Arturia’s piano virtual instrument, leaving some users desiring a more complete software package alongside their new MIDI controller. Overall, the Arturia Keylab Essential is highly regarded for its sound quality and intuitive setup, making it an appealing choice for music enthusiasts and beginners alike—just prepare for minor adjustments with accessories and software integration. **
