Europe Editorial Review
"Big Anthony: His Story" is a picture book by Tomie dePaola that offers readers some backstory of one of the beloved characters from his "Strega Nona" series. In this book, kids get to see Big Anthony growing up and making numerous blunders due to his inability to pay attention. The humor and slapstick comedy in the book will keep kids entertained. Big Anthony moves to different parts of Italy, introducing kids to several major landmarks. Strega Nona only appears briefly towards the end. The artwork is beautiful, and the storyline is wholesome.
