Comedy Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of "The Bronze" (Blu-ray)** "The Bronze" is a riotous indie dramedy that centers on the outrageous character of Hope Ann Greggory, an ex-athlete embodying the crass and self-centered traits reminiscent of Bender from *Futurama*. The film is steeped in humor that shines through its vulgarities and profane charm, making it a delightful watch for audiences with a resilient sense of humor. Hope, portrayed with zest by Melissa Rauch, owns her role as a local hero who grapples with the pressures of being dethroned by an emerging competitor. Her antics provide a blend of dark comedy and awkward situations that hark back to the essence of quirky indie films, resonating particularly well with viewers seeking relatable stories outside the mainstream Hollywood sphere. The laughter is punctuated by moments of introspection, as Hope's journey is not solely about her wild behavior but also the revelation of her humanity and heart amidst the chaos. The film showcases the internal struggles of flawed characters attempting to navigate their way through a competitive society, making it appealing to those who feel like outsiders or misfits. While the humor is unabashedly crude and may not be suitable for all audiences—especially younger viewers—those who appreciate bold storytelling will find "The Bronze" to be a refreshing and entertaining exploration of ambition, insecurity, and the complexities of adult life. The film’s balance of heart and irreverence makes it an intriguing watch for fans of offbeat comedy. **
