Arithmetic Editorial Review

**** The "Ray's Arithmetic Series - 8 Volume Set" has garnered a positive reception among parents and educators, who praise its thorough approach to teaching mathematics from elementary to middle school levels (1st through 8th grade). Many users highlight that the series effectively covers fundamental math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, progressing into more advanced topics such as money math, geometry, and fractions. One of the standout features noted by reviewers is the clear organization of the curriculum, which builds mathematical confidence through a systematic step-by-step method. Reviewers also appreciate the comprehensive nature of the series, which allows for differentiated learning based on a child's individual abilities. This is particularly useful for parents who want to ensure their children have a robust understanding of mathematics before advancing to more complex subjects like algebra, which is not included until later grades. Moreover, many users believe the material is superior to what's commonly found in public schools, with some expressing relief that the series does not adhere to Common Core standards. The teacher's manual is also Considered a valuable resource, providing guidance and test examples tailored for various grade levels. However, a few concerns were raised, including discrepancies in the product description regarding the binding type, and a reluctance among some reviewers about the absence of algebra until grade nine, which could misalign with certain school district requirements that emphasize early algebra learning. Overall, the "Ray's Arithmetic Series" appears to be a worthwhile investment for parents looking for a traditional and comprehensive math curriculum that prioritizes foundational knowledge and practical application over trendy educational agendas. **
