The guitar does not require a dongle to connect to the Wii as the Wii-remote is enough to make it work. The reviews for this product are mixed. One reviewer had trouble getting the guitar to work with the Wii, while another reviewer noted that half the buttons do not work. Another customer received a defective guitar and had to return it.
