It works well with a clear binder or midcoat and should be sprayed over a black base coat. The flakes are .004 in size and can still be sprayed with a 1.3 tip size although 1.4 is recommended. The flake can also be sprayed with a dry spray gun. It can be used with any single-stage base coat and is compatible with oil based clear. Overall, customers have been satisfied with the product and have found that it enhances their projects.
