Does the charging wall plug come with it? Also, is it auto shut-off?
Answer: The wall plug is not included but the charging cable is. The grinder works by a red button to turn on but must be upside down to dispense. Not auto shut off but right-side up will stop grinding. Simply push the red button to turn off. Fast charging! -

Has the design flaw that allows you to adjust the courseness been fixed? (every review mentions it)
Answer: The coarseness can be adjusted HOWEVER, the grind is only marginally different from one end of the knob adjustment to the other. There really is NO cracked pepper grind!!! But I have found that if you use a top quality pepper (fresh at least) you really get a peppery flavor no matter how coarse or fine it comes out. I too prefer the cracked pepper style, or at least very coarse grind. Alas, this is not the grinder to get that result. But I like the set overall. It looks smart on the table and is actually fun to use. I hope this helps.
