La Crosse Technology Rain Gauges Editorial Review
La Crosse Technology 724-1409 Wireless Rain Station is a simple device that allows you to measure rainfall in your area. The outside unit is 7 L x 4.3/4 W x 5 H inches and is fixed with a screw to the desired position. The outdoor rain gauge is self-emptying, and the discharged water can freely escape away from the bottom. It provides a display of the amount of rainfall received in six different time periods, and the large numbers can easily be read. According to the reviews, this product is of mixed quality. A few customers found that the batteries didn't last long and the accuracy of the measurements was not as good as expected. One customer said the device never worked adequately, and another mentioned a broken battery compartment. On the other hand, most customers were pleased with the device's accuracy and performance. The collector bowl has been much improved from previous versions, according to one customer. Additionally, the product is less obtrusive than other devices, and the buttons for the six different time periods make sense and are better than others that reset at midnight. Overall, this product has received mixed reviews, with some customers claiming that it did not operate as expected. However, most customers praised the accuracy of the device, making it an excellent value for its price.
