Sad About The Times

**** The album in question is a remarkable collection that successfully showcases an era of music often overlooked by contemporary audiences. Crafted with a keen eye for both rarity and artistry, this anthology embraces the intimate vibes of 70s electric folk and psych rock that resonate deeply with fans of the genre. Customer feedback reflects a sense of unexpected delight for those who purchased it, often on a whim, highlighting that despite unfamiliarity with the tracks prior to purchase, many found the music both evocative and atmospherically rich. Listeners appreciate the album's ability to blend somber yet hopeful tones, akin to the modern stylings of artists like Lana Del Rey, making it suitable for both quiet evenings and thoughtful daytime listening. However, while the music garners high praise for its quality and selection—a mix of hard-to-find private press tracks, psych country, and loner folk—several customers noted a lack of accompanying material. Many expressed disappointment regarding the absence of detailed liner notes or a booklet that could offer context about the artists and their works, which some collectors particularly treasure. In addition, the inclusion of a download card that does not provide access to the full tracklisting further diminishes the experience, leaving fans yearning for more comprehensive documentation of the collection. Overall, the music's undeniable quality and the effort put into curating this anthology shine through, making it a must-have for fans of the "Laurel Canyon sound" and beyond, despite some shortcomings in the ancillary content. **
