Designed to fit all weather stations, this universal mounting tripod is the preferred choice over the Davis Instruments 7716, thanks to its superior materials and design. Constructed with 18 gauge 1008-10 steel tubing, the tripod assembly is galvanized using the Flo-Coat process, which provides excellent corrosion protection.
The legs braces, mast collars, and connecting components are also gold irridited for added durability against corrosion. One of the standout features of this tripod assembly is the mast collars. They feature a captive stop-nut design that eliminates lock nut spin when tightened, ensuring a secure and stable setup.
The mast collars also include a mast supporting cup, providing additional stability for your weather station. With a tripod base of 33 inches (85.8 cm) and an installed height of 53 inches (150.8 cm) when supplied with one mast, this assembly offers a convenient and optimal setup for your weather station. If you need to increase the height, you have the option to add 35 mast extensions, offering an additional 31 inches of height per extension.
