The XFasten Waterproof Patch Seal Repair and Leak Shield Tape is a versatile product that can adhere to a variety of surfaces including fabric, canvas, floor, tile, ceramic, concrete, wood, cloth, hem drapes, nylon and many others. However, it may not work for underwater applications, such as a fish pond, or as an automobile insulation tape, as it is not designed for those conditions. One customer complained that the tape was not effective and did not hold up after a few applications. Another customer struggled to remove the backing of the tape, but others found it very strong and adhesive for home projects. It is 15mil thick and can effectively repair leaks. If you need to cover a touchpad controller, it is recommended to use a plastic cover with no adhesive and then seal the plastic cover using the transparent patch and seal tape.
