Question:
How does the locking mechanism work for the Doggie Dog Flap?
Answer: The Doggie Dog Flap features a two-way locking mechanism, allowing you to secure your pet’s access either in or out. This is highly beneficial for controlling when your pet can go outdoors, especially during inclement weather or nighttime. The simplicity of the lock ensures that you can quickly switch between the locked and unlocked positions, making it practical for pet owners who need flexibility in managing their pet's movements. -
Question:
Is the flap transparent, and why is that important?
Answer: Yes, the flap of the Doggie Dog Flap is transparent, allowing pets to see through it while they decide to enter or exit. This visibility encourages confidence, as pets are less likely to feel hesitant about using the door. It also helps owners monitor their pets' activities, ensuring that they can easily see where their furry friends are going, maintaining peace of mind while ensuring a seamless transition. -
Question:
Can this pet door be installed in any type of wall?
Answer: The Doggie Dog Flap is designed for compatibility with interior sliding doors and certain wall types. It’s important to assess the wall's material—whether drywall, wood, or another substance—before installation. This flexibility allows you to integrate the pet door conveniently into most living spaces without major renovations. -
Question:
What pets can use the Doggie Dog Flap?
Answer: The Doggie Dog Flap is primarily designed for small to medium-sized pets, such as cats and small dogs. The product accommodates pets that weigh up to about 25 pounds comfortably. PET MOMENT Doors 7217 Editorial Review
The Pet Flap Door for Dogs is a wall mounted dog door with a transparent flap that comes in small, medium, and large sizes. The removable metal rear panel attaches to the door through a track that slides into a spring-loaded pin that locks it in place. This door has a locking feature through its metal security panel. However, some customers reported that the flap is not sturdy enough, and the slightest breeze can make it flap, allowing air to leak in. One customer noted that the flap doesn't close well, and half of the time, it remains open, unlike other doors with magnets to draw them closed. Another buyer reported that the Pet Flap Door did not fit well in their wall, and their dogs refused to use it. They had to purchase a more expensive Hale door to solve the problem. Despite the drawbacks, some customers expressed satisfaction with the door's durability and ease of installation. The door frame sits about a quarter-inch from the wall, and it is not flush. Overall, the Pet Flap Door for Dogs seems to be a low-quality option compared to other available dog doors.
