Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What are Nylgut strings and how do they differ from traditional gut strings?

Answer: Nylgut strings are a synthetic alternative to traditional gut strings, designed to replicate the warm tonal qualities of gut while offering improved stability and durability. Unlike natural gut, which can be sensitive to humidity and temperature changes, Nylgut maintains consistent tuning performance. • Question: Can I use Aquila AQ-96 strings on other instruments?

Answer: While Aquila AQ-96 strings are specifically designed for guilele, they may also be compatible with other similar-sized instruments such as certain ukuleles or small guitars. However, it's recommended to check instrument specifications to ensure compatibility. By using these strings on a versatile instrument, you can attain the desired tone quality and enhance your overall musical exploration.
  • Question: How often should I change my Aquila AQ-96 Guilele strings?

Answer: The frequency of changing your Aquila AQ-96 Guilele strings depends on how often you play and your playing style. Generally, if you play regularly and engage in performances, changing your strings every few weeks is advisable. This ensures optimal sound quality and stability in tuning. On the other hand, casual players might change strings every few months. Monitoring the sound and feel of the strings will help you determine when it's time for a replacement.

  • Question: Do the Aquila AQ-96 strings require special care?

Answer: Aquila AQ-96 Guilele strings do not require extensive special care, but keeping them clean and maintaining proper humidity levels can enhance performance.
