The cable grip is designed with a collet and nut, which makes it very convenient and easy to work. The connector fits securely and snugly around the 1/4 inch diameter copper conductors of the cable without nipping them, ensuring a watertight and secure connection. While the male end of the connector fits very tight and is difficult to unplug without tools, this can be a good thing in terms of safety. One user reported that this connector was not as high quality as Hubbell but still good enough for hooking up an RV to a house. Another user used it with a 7500 running watt/9500 starting watt portable generator to power their entire home during a power outage caused by a winter storm, and it performed very well.
