What is the watt per foot/meter requirements of this LED strip?
Answer: It is about 14W each meter. The total power of a 16.4ft strip may be affected by voltage drop and may not be 14Wx5=70W. -
Question:
If I cut this strip into 3 pieces and connect them each with 14ft of wire between, will a 24V15A still power the lights fine?
Answer: To determine if a 24V15A power supply will work, we need to know the total length of the strip including the wire length, which is approximately 30.4ft. -
Question:
Does this item come in longer lengths? Does it have connecting wires to attach to a controller?
Answer: There will be a 16.4ft long version in the future. The strip has 3 wires on the end for connecting to a controller. -
Question:
(for the CCT version) If this is 5000 lumens warm white, 6000 lumens cool white, does it mean it is 11,000 for intermediate temperatures?
Answer: No, this model is tunable from 3000K - 6000K. Lumens and Kelvins are independent measures and do not correlate. -
Question:
Does voltage drop affect the performance of the strip when choosing the wattage of an LED driver?
Answer: Voltage drop can cause dimming of LEDs at the far end of the strip. To address this, consider adding voltage every 5 meters, using sufficient power, adjusting brightness, and avoiding full white lighting effect. DC24V LED strip is recommended. -
Question:
Can I cut the 16ft strip into 12" pieces for my bookcase shelves and connect them with connectors to a single power supply?
Answer: No, the CCT FCOB LED strip may require wire welding for connector connections. -
Question:
I need around 42 feet for a room. Could I power all 42 feet from one 24V power supply?
Answer: Yes, you can use a DC24V10A power supply to power the entire strip.
