The bed is standard crib-sized and comes with a full-railing on three sides of the bed frame with half of a railing on the fourth side. This bed is not recommended for an adult to sit on. The mattress recommended is Dream On Me, 4" Full Size Foam Standard Crib & Toddler Mattress. The assembly is simple, but it's better to have two people to assemble it. The bed is sturdy, which makes it safe for a hyper two-year-old. If you're okay with the drawback of it being closer to the floor, it's an excellent buy. However, be cautious of any shipping damages which can leave a bad taste in your mouth.
