The World's Toughest Emergency Blankets are extra-thick thermal mylar foil space blankets, sold in a 4-pack for outdoor survival gear. They are waterproof, ultralight and come in an orange color. They are advertised as being suitable for hiking, camping, running, and emergency first aid kits. The blankets are 82 inches by 52 inches and made in China. Based on the FAQ section, the blankets are noisy though not as noisy as earlier versions of disposable shiny mylar blankets. They are not suitable for washing and reusing as washing would remove the sprayed aluminum on one side. The plastic material is stronger than a regular trash bag but we would not recommend taping them to a very drafty doorway as they will not be effective as building materials in preventing drafts. The blankets are perfect for outdoor use, but customers have questioned whether they could be used as a travel blanket on a plane, though this has not been verified. One reviewer believes they may be noisy and could disturb fellow passengers. The product is primarily designed for emergency use, and the blankets are tough, durable but not easy to fold back into the carrying bag since they are intended for one-time emergency use.
