Been there done that don't make my mistake. Also verify that this is the proper interface for your specific vehicle or you will have the same issue -

Answer: I installed it in my 2004 GMC Canyon also without OnStar or Bose. Everything seems to be working as it should. My understanding of the GM class II bus is that it's pretty much the same from one vehicle to the next so it should work. It made the install super simple. -

I have a 2005 Yukon XL with OnStar (no Bose). I don't care about OnStar. I want to use this with an ototo android radio 01rsidqa62d. Will this work?
Answer: The Crux unit is an interface between the stereo and the vehicle's network. Basically, it will allow the warning chimes (door open, seatbelt, etc.) to sound through the stereo like the factory and prevents some error codes (theft, etc.). It will not interface any of the 'High tech' features of the Android radio (GPS) with the vehicle's computers. It is the correct interface for your vehicle.
