Dorman 76811 Shift Knob

The product, a shift knob designed for Ford vehicles, has received a mix of feedback from users. Many customers appreciate the fitment, particularly for models like the 2003 F250 Powerstroke. Users report that after some preparation—such as heating the knob and allowing it to sit in the sun for better flexibility—it fits snugly and serves as a reliable replacement for worn-out original equipment knobs. However, a significant quality issue has surfaced regarding the durability of print on the knob; multiple users have noted that the letters and numbers wear off quickly, with some experiencing this deterioration within just a few days of use. While some customers are willing to overlook this flaw for the performance of the knob itself, others express frustration at having to deal with the rubbing off of critical information almost immediately. Additionally, there are mixed feelings about the attachment mechanism. While some prefer the tight press fit, others suggest that a design incorporating screws might provide a more secure fit and prevent rattling. In summary, while this Ford shift knob excels in fit and performance, its durability concerning printed elements and Construction method raise significant concerns for potential buyers. **
