The glue is ideal for joining smooth surfaces. If you are looking to fill gaps on wood, you might want to look for a product designed to fill gaps in wood that most hardware stores sell. According to the Q&A section, the glue works well with hard plastics and dries clear. However, it can smear the paint on the surface to which it is applied.
