Legrand Dimmer Switches Editorial Review
The Legrand light dimmer and fan control switch has received a mix of favorable and critical feedback from users, showcasing the product's functionality while highlighting some potential issues. Many customers appreciate the versatility of using this switch for both lighting and ceiling fan control, particularly with LED lights. One standout feature is its ability to bypass remote controls that typically come with ceiling fans, appealing to users who prefer a more traditional wired setup. Installation appears to be relatively straightforward, with several users successfully replacing older, more complicated switches with this simpler model. Users noted the mechanical feel and quality of the switch, indicating a superior finish compared to alternatives at big box stores. The dimming functionality and fan control work well, with many expressing satisfaction with the switch's performance overall, especially in connecting multiple ceiling fans without the hassle of remote controls. However, there have been reports of issues related to installation, notably fan noise attributed to incorrect wiring of the switch. Users emphasize the importance of following wiring protocols to avoid this common pitfall. Additionally, there are several mentions of defective units, though these seem to stem primarily from purchasing used or returned items. Customers advise that proper wiring can mitigate potential problems and ensure a seamless experience. In summary, the Legrand dimmer and fan control switch is well-received for its solid performance, ease of use, and aesthetic appeal, although attention must be given to installation and warranty Considerations. ###
