How does Sartre define freedom in the context of existentialism?

In the context of existentialism, Sartre defines freedom as the inherent ability to make choices and act according to one's own will. He posits that individuals are not defined by external circumstances or pre-determined essence; instead, their identity and values are shaped through their choices and experiences.
