The hiking boots are waterproof, heavy and give good ankle support. Different sizes have a different weight, which is between 1.5 to 2.2 lbs. The toe doesn't have steel. There have been mixed reviews from customers, with some praising the boots for being comfortable, having good arch support, and working well for light to moderate hiking, farm work as well as hunting/fishing. However, several customers had issues with durability and quality of the boots, with the soles and sides coming apart, and issues with the eyelets breaking off. Some customers experienced sizing issues with the toe box being too loose or the boots being too small even when they went up half a size.
