The aquarium does not come with a lid or cover. Plexiglass can be affixed, or a separate tank with a lid purchased. The company is known for being well-protected, arriving in wooden crates. The bottom and sides are tempered glass. The tank measures 10.7 gallons, with clear glass on all sides. Though, it is always good to manage expectations in shipping, as one customer had to use pliers to open the wooden crate. Overall, it is an excellent tank with clean, strong finish and a beautiful and clear look.
